6/1/99 (1:49 a.m. CST)

Well it looks as if I am gonna redo the UO pages. I havent seen too many AAF in uo lately, probably becuase ive been out on my boat =P, To say the least I am now GM Fisherman. If anyone has anything they would like to plan, or if you need a house key after the locks have been changed, get ahold of me. Odin

Although this happened a little while before this posting, I have retired from UO. I have been proud to be a part of and lead the Paladins of the AAF UO branch, but all good things come to the end, and thus, such is the case with UO. I find I can no longer remain active enough in UO to continue leading, and so I am passing the mantle of leadership to Odin. However, I will still be updating the UO pages, and Odin may also work on it as well.

That is all for now friends. If I ever play UO again it will be in one of the free servers. Follow Odin with all due respect and uphold the honorable name of the Paladins of the Arch Angels Force!

Yes I'm still here, and no, there isn't anything new going on that requires an update :-P

1/4/99 (6:20 p.m. EST)

With the new year will come some new changes. They will not be drastic or extreme; merely practical. Reading an inspirational E-mail from MLK, I find that I can't agree with him more about the participation, or lack thereof, within the guild by some members and petitioners.

Here is what's going to happen: I will heavily enforce all our rules to the max with very little, if any, exceptions. You will have to EARN your place within the guild and prove to me that you have something to contribute. There will be no more names added to the Guildstone merely because somebody asked to join, and then leave. There will be no more passing up of guild dues. There will be no inactivity, at least, not on the weekends. If anyone is inactive for an extended period of time without good reason, they will be given the boot. I know that real life can be a pain in the arse sometimes, but if you are going to be gone for a while, for whatever reason, at least let me know. UO can take a lot of time to really get anything accomplished, so I do not expect you to be on for six or more hours a day on the weekdays. However, I do expect you to be more active on the weekends and to take part in the guild activities that I will schedule as much as possible.

Here is what I expect: Maturity and honor, above all. Part of the reason why we can't get anything accomplished in meetings is because of immature behavior (you know who you are). I will not suffer any more acts of stupidity. I will not tolerate any more moronic behavior (such as going around and hitting people for no reason).

Activeness: When I schedule a UO event, I expect that all members will attend unless otherwise detained by real life circumstance.

Guild dues: Guild dues are 200 gp every Sat. without complaint, and without delay. I do not care about your past donations (if any) or actions. A guild needs money to function and in order for that to happen it needs a regular income of gold. 200 gp every Saturday, without complaint.

To the new petitioners: You have asked to join just in time before we are elimating the Join form. Now new members may become a part of the guild by invitation only. You will have to prove to me, by activeness, attitude, and deeds, that you are worthy of joining this guild. I am tired of having some people say they want to join, ask for authorization, and then vanish without a trace. I expect you to come to me to ask for information concerning the guild and what your duties as petitioners are. You will be monitored for a time and if your behavior, attitude, and deeds are approved, you will be granted the honor of becoming a full member.

If this seems harsh or too strict, I do this because I both agree with MLK, and because I do not want a repeat of the civil war that nearly rent us into dozens of tiny factions so long ago.

We are the Paladins of the Arch Angels Force! Be proud in the fact that you are a part of one of the greatest guilds in UO and on the Net!

Happy new year!!! Hope everyone had a merry Christmas too! I'd like to thank everyone who went on the hunt (Fife, SoV, Matt). For those who couldn't come with us we will be having another hunt as soon as possible. Be sure to check out the highlight of the hunt on the forum! =)

12/22/98 (11:20 EST)

Hail again friends! Sorry for the long period of no updates :-P. Well, 'tis the season to go hunting! We will have an AAF hunting trip to celebrate the holidays and Christmas vacation; all friends and allies are welcome!

Hunting Schedule:

Wed. either late evening or sometime during the night, meet at the AAF house. We will then spar (and play chess in between sessions) until the safe hunting time. We will then proceed to either the hunting grounds north of Minoc or Rat Valley south of Yew. The hunting will be from 2:00 a.m. (Thurs. morning) to 9:00 a.m. All friends and allies are welcome! RSVP Recommended stuff to bring:

---At least 3 greater healing potions

---Recall rune to nearby town (using either regs or scroll)

OR Bedroll and kindling

---Munchies

---Can of coffee (REAL coffee, not that instant crap)

OR a six-pack (at least) of Jolt

OR a pack of caffeine pills

OR all three!

---(Optional) Greater explosion potions

Let's go bash some uglies!

11/1/98 (5:00 EST)

There has been some technical problems with the FTP server and just after I last updated this page it reset itself back to the 8/28/98 update. I have no idea why this happened but I am making sure there are no other resets like it. I have done a news board wipe (as you can see); hopefully this will not happen again.

For those who have not had a chance to read the latest news, I would like you to welcome Tapek and Fife Dogg to the AAF. For those who don't know him, Fife was in the AAF a loooong time ago. He used to play on Great Lakes, but has moved and now joins us in Catskills.

Guild Dues: Every Sat. guild dues will be payed. This is both to keep all members active and to make sure that the AAF has a collective fund in UO.

Regular Guild Members: 200 gp

New Guild Members: 125 gp

That is all for now friends, and may this server reset be cursed! :-P
